Description
A new parity test is proposed using combined electric and magnetic perturbation of the angular correlation of two gamma rays, one pure and one mixed. The experiment requires a measurement of the asymmetry of the coincidence rate in fixed counters for reversal of an applied magnetic field. An asymmetry of order 10-4 is predicted for 181Ta in Hf. Either a single crystal or a powdered source may be used.
